How do I find out my fasting and medication instructions?
In most cases it is best to check with your doctor. For more information please see the Patient Admission Information booklet.
 
What is my admission and surgery time?
In most cases your doctor will provide this information. You can also find information about what to expect when you arrive at Epworth here.
 
What is a consent form and how do I complete it?
You must sign a consent for procedure form before your procedure can take place.
Your Doctor may have given the completed consent to you during your consultation, If so, please ensure you bring it with you.
If you were not given one, it will be completed with your Doctor when you arrive.

Can I request a private room?
Allocation of private rooms is based on medical necessity, so we may not always be able to meet expectations about private rooms.
However, you may always request to be added to the waiting list for a private room if one becomes available.

Speak to the Patient Services Team at your admitting site to be placed on the waiting list.

All maternity rooms are guaranteed private.
